What is Spread Betting?

  • Step 1
    • BetHiLo make a prediction on a specific aspect of a sporting event, such as how many goals will be scored in a football match, or the time of the first goal.
    • The Punter then decides whether the guess is too HIGH or too LOW.
    • It’s as simple as that!
  • Step 2
    • Once you choose to bet on a BetHiLo prediction (which will almost always be wrong),
      • the more right you are, the more you win;
      • the more wrong you are, the more you lose
    • This is because wins and losses are directly linked to the accuracy of our prediction.
  • Step 3 – How does it work?
    • BetHiLo might predict that there will be between 10 and 11 corners in a game.
    • The Punter would “Bet Low” at 10 if he/she thought there were going to be less than 10 corners.
    • The Punter would “Bet High” at 11 if he/she thought there were going to be more than 11 corners.
    • That’s all you have to do
  • Step 4 – What does the punter win or lose?
    • Let’s say the Punter thinks that there will be a lot of corners, the Punter would “Bet High”.
    • So, if the match ends with a total of 16 corners. Well done – The bettor chose to Bet High at 11 corners. This means that he/she would WIN 5 times their “stake”! (16 – 11 = 5)
    • Don’t forget – the more right you are the more you WIN, the more wrong you are the more you LOSE.
  • Step 5 – What if the result goes the other way?
    • Again, let’s say the Punter thinks that there will be a lot of corners, the Punter would “Bet High”.
    • So, if the match ends with only 8 corners? Unlucky – the bettor chose to Bet High at 11 corners. This means that he/she would LOSE 3 times their “stake”! (11 – 8 = 3)
  • Don’t forget – the more right you are the more you WIN, the more wrong you are the more you LOSE.
